The cup runneth over Saturday for the Harvard men's lacrosse team, which beat Ivy League rival Yale, 18-7, at Ohiri Field.

Leading the virile Crimson attack was senior Jamie Ames, who netted nine goals--tying a Harvard record set in 1978 by Mike Fraught against New Hampshire. Ames also assisted on another Crimson tally.

Harvard jumped out to a commanding 8-0 lead in the first period--with Ames notching half of those goals--and cruised to the comfortable victory.

The Winthrop House history concentrator was named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week for his efforts.

On the season, Ames leads the Crimson with 37 goals, and is second on the squad with 43 points.

The Crimson faces New Hampshire today at Ohiri Field, beginning at 3 p.m.
