The Harvard men's golf team came in tied for fourth in the URI-Newport Invitational this past Friday and Saturday.
Sophomore Luis Sanchez led the Crimson finished the first day at 75 and the second at 73 a two-round total of 148 at the par-71 Green Valley Country Club in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, a score that was good enough to be third in the field. Rhode Island's Andrew Young had the low score at 72-74 146, followed by Mike Chizaukas of Salem State at 76-72 148.
The rest of the Harvard card was filled out by co-captain Jack Wylie (79-79 158), junior co-captain Joel Radtke (76-83 159) and sophomore Ed Boyda (79-81 160). Junior Jun Choo's 169 wasn't counted, as only the top four scores were counted.
UConn won the 18-school tournament with a team total of 612, and Salem State came in a close second at 613. After that it URI (623) and Dartmouth and Harvard (624).
