Tammy Butler--Harvard's greatest all-time women's basketball player--tied her career high of 33 points in Harvard's 105-99 overtime victory over Cornell this past Friday night. She also tied her record of the most field goals made in a game with 14.
Butler added nine points the next night in an easy 83-48 win at Columbia, and she was the Crimson's leading scorer with 14 points in Tuesday's demoralizing loss to Dartmouth in the Ivy League Championship game.
Butler leaves as Harvard's all-time leading scorer and rebounder. Butler led the Crimson to a 19-7 record, a remarkable improvement over last year's 7-19.
As Butler left the game for the final time Tuesday, the crowd chanted "Tammy, Tammy." She might not go out with an Ivy title, but she certainly leaves as a winner both on and off the court, a true class act, and she leaves behind a solid program as well.
