After last night's thrilling come-from-behind 58-56 victory, Harvard men's basketball loves New York.
With freshman Paul Fischer and junior David Damian both netting career hights, the Crimson snapped a 10-game losing streak last night against Columbia in the Big Apple.
Fischer (13 points) and Damian (11 points), both inserted in the line-up to start the second half, were the catalysts for the Crimson, who rallied from a 35-19 intermission deficit.
With the game knotted at 56 and a scant 2.2 seconds left on the clock, Fischer put back his own miss for the winning hoop and the Crimson's sixth win in the last eight years at Columbia.
The Crimson used a 18-4 spurt in the first five minutes of the second half to cut the deficit to two points, 39-37. After that, neither team had more than a five point advantage.
