CURRIER HOUSE

Currier House Dining Hall May Get Soft Serve Yogurt Machine

Currier House may get the first Harvard dining hall yogurt machine, if preliminary negotiations with Dining Services director Michael P. Berry work out.

If the deal comes through, Currier would pay less than half of the cost of the $12,000 machine in the form of a stipend, said house committee co-chair Zachary T. Buchwald '96 in a committee meeting Sunday night. The dining services would pay the rest, he said.

In other business, the house will sponsor the annual "Roommate Game," Thursday at 10p.m.

A takeoff on the T.V. show "The Newlywed Game," the event pits pairs of roommate against each other in a contest to see which rooming group knows each other best.

The first place roommies will each win a pair of tickets to the upcoming formal, and the runners-up will receive $10 for dinner. The third place pair wins $5 gift certificates to Herrell's.

The house committee also voted to pay half of a $115.20 speeding ticket incurred by a member the way to the house committee retreat. Susan S. Lee '96, who incurred the ticket, abstained from voting.

Committee members also voted to pay a $10 parking ticket from the same retreat.
