Crimson Leans Toward Dallas

SUPER BOWL NOTEBOOK: CUBE PREDICTS

Come the night of January 31, the better part of America will be huddled around a television as the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys battle for the title of World Champion for the second year in a row.

In a department full of pundits, the Crimson Sports desk leaned heavily toward the favored Cowboys. Even the few Bills believers in the crowd admitted the road looked mighty tough for Buffalo.

But hey--Dallas was the underdog last year.

The Dallas Bandwagon

Cara Abdulrazak: 31-17, Dallas. "But I want Buffalo to win because they've lost so painfully over the years, they deserve a Super Bowl. And plus, I'm an AFC fan."

Eric Brown: 31-14, Dallas. "The Bills just suck."

Mayer Bick: 30-17, Dallas. "The Cowboys' offensive line will dominate the Bills' defense."

Mike Ginsberg: 27-14, Dallas. "The Dallas offense is really awesome--Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman are practically unstoppable. It's the same old story."

Dave Griffel: 31-10, Dallas. "As long as Leon Lett doesn't touch the ball, Dallas doesn't have any weaknesses."

Justin Ingersoll: 34-21, Dallas. "Because it will be Bernie Kosar's day to shine."

Patty Seo: 34-14, Dallas. "Last year, I bet $40 on Buffalo and they let me down. I also feel confident they'll cover the spread."

The Buffalo Diehards

Peter Han: 35-24, Buffalo. "The fourth time will be the charm."

Darren Kilfara: 24-19, Buffalo. "I hope I get some points with that. But seriously, you've got to admit--they're due."

John Trainer: 28-26, Buffalo. "Because you just can't bet against a Harvard Ph.D. Or a masters degree, whatever Marv Levy has from here. Ah, hell: ya just gotta believe."
