1. Harvard
1927 Yankees?
See article above.
2. Princeton
The Tigers return a deep team and an outstanding staff. Their left-handed pitching should carry them most of the season.
3. Dartmouth
The Big Green brings back three EIBL First-Teamers. Riding the arm of pitcher Bob Bennett (according to one scout, a "Ron Darling clone") Dartmouth should be a contender.
4. Pennsylvania
Catcher Ben Breier and battery mates Brian Quinn and Bruce Brasser can carry a Doug Glanville-less Penn team only so far.
5. Army
Fireballer Steve Reich (2.07 ERA) and outfielder Lance Boyce (.381 AVG) will lead the young Cadets.
6. Yale
An inexperienced Eli club will look to Manny Patel (.331 AVG) and pitcher Lincoln Schomer (2.61 ERA) for help.
7. Columbia
The Lions may surprise with speed, but will fall prey to more evolved teams.
8. Cornell
The Big Red should consult its lacrosse team for hitting help: these young ducklings don't quite have the punch to match up to the rest of the league.
9. Navy
Sam Mowery (.348 AVG) and Rob Sorensen (2.88 ERA) can't save this ship.
10. Brown
Maybe next year. Or maybe not.
