The Harvard women's cross country team shined at the Greater Boston Invitational last Friday at Franklin Park, beating three of its four opponents. Harvard downed Brandeis (18-48), Boston University (26-33), Tufts (15-50) and Northeastern (15-50), and tied Boston College, 28-28.
Harvard junior Alais Griffin put in the strongest performance of the day, placing third our of 60 runners with a time of 18:35.
Other top finishers were Captain Karin Swartz (fifth, 18:44), sophomore Jennifer Kearney (ninth 19:00), sophomore Tatum Simon (10th, 19:15), and senior Michelle Jernigan (16th, 19:30).
"The team is running really, really well this year," said Swartz. "Right now we're 7-0-1, and we've yet to lose."
