There was only one word to describe the Harvard women's hockey team's 4-1 loss to Brown last night in Providence.

"It was really frustrating," Harvard junior right wing Ginny Simonds said.

The Crimson (2-2 overall, 1-1 Ivy) lost for the first time in Ivy League action, following its crushing defeat of Yale last Saturday.

Freshman center Joey Alissi netted the lone Harvard goal, poking the rebound of Co-Captain Sue Cullinane's slapshot past Bruins netminder Kate Presby 13 minutes into the first period. Alissi's tally gave the Crimson a short-lived 1-0 lead.

But Brown responded less than five

The Ivy foes battled through a scoreless secondperiod as D'Souza turned away 17 Bruins shots inthe middle stanza, while Presby blocked 11 Crimsonattempts.

Brown, however, secured the win with threethird-period tallies. The Bruins offense came outshooting, tallying twice in the first fourminutes.

But D'Souza--who collected 34 saves on thenight--was not the one to blame for the Brownonslaught.
