The parents of a missing Leverett House senior came to Harvard last Saturday to take home his belongings, his roommates and Leverett House Co-Master John Dowling said yesterday.
Alexander J. Pak '88-'89 has not been seen by family or friends since he left Harvard for winter break on December 17. Pak's roommates discovered a note he had left on his computer explaining his disappearance that weekend, and his parents reported him missing to the Harvard University Police on December 19.
Pak's roommates in Leverett B-42 said that they helped Pak's parents move all of his possessions out of the dorm on Saturday.
"His parents were pretty upset," said Tim J. Urquhart, one of Pak's five roommates.
Urquhart added that Pak's parents said they had no idea where their son was. The only clues to his whereabouts, police have said, were credit card transactions he made in New York City shortly after he left Harvard. The police also said the FBI has been notified to be on the look out for Pak.
Meanwhile, Pak's friends and roommates continue to wait.
"No one's heard anything from him," said Urquhart. "What else can we do but wait? The ball's in his court. He'll show up when he shows up."
Pak's parents, when reached by telephone yesterday in Scarborough, Ontario, declined to comment.
Representatives of the Harvard University Police could not be reached yesterday.
