The Friends of Harvard Hockey held its annual banquet at the Harvard Club of Boston to honor the 1987-88 hockey team, Ivy League and ECAC regular-season champions.
Defensemen Jerry Pawloski and Don Sweeney were the co-recipients of the John Tudor Memorial Hockey Cup Award, annually awarded to the team's most valuable player.
Captain Steve Armstrong was honored with the Ralph "Cooney" Weiland Award for consistent and selfless play, while Andy Janfaza was given the Donald Angier Hockey Trophy for being the most improved player.
Peter Ciavaglia, Harvard's leading scorer, was awarded the George Percy Award for best freshman.
Guests in attendance included Captain-Elect Lane MacDonald and fellow Olympians Allen Bourbeau and Scott Fusco '86, along with Hartford Whaler Neil Sheehy '83.
