Wisconsin 7, Lowell 0 Wisconsin serves the Lowell players "some of the Midwest's greatest cheese. So what if it's a little green around the edges." The Chiefs complain of stomach aches throughout the game.

Northeastern 5, Merrimack 4 Merrimack gets a Big Mac attack during the second period. Runs out of Mathews Arena. Huskies score five unanswered goals.

Harvard 9, Michigan St. 8: The first game will be a tough one for the Crimson, as Kevin Miller thinks he's playing against the Russians and nets six goals for the Spartans, who defeat the Crimson, 6-3. After conferring with Lane MacDonald and Allen Bourbeau, Coach Bill Cleary tells his boys to win one for the old crimson, white and blue. Harvard responds by trouncing the Spartans, 6-2, and spends the first weekend of Spring Break in Minnesota.

Bowling Green 14, Vermont 2: Vermont thinks it's playing in Boston Garden again. But the Falcons wake the Catamounts up. This is Ohio, Ian Boyce, Now go back home.

Wisconsin 1, Lowell 0: In probably one of the toughest series in NCAA history, the Badgers let loose all their 8700 fans onto the ice, and amid the confusion, manage to sneak in a goal. Lowell goes on to play North House in a consolation game.

Merrimack 27, Northeastern 10: The underdogs rule this game and Jim Vesey scores two touchdowns and kicks a field goal for the upstart Warriors. Huskie Coach Fern Flaman can't believe it. Merrimack goes on to replace the Huskies next year in the Hockey East conference.
