Laxwomen Earn Bid

The Harvard women's lacrosse team has received a bid to this weekend's ECAC Tournament, it was announced yesterday.

The Crimson (10-3-1 overall) was one of four teams to earn a berth in the tourney. Number-one seeded University of New Hampshire will host the laxwomen Friday at 1 p.m., with number two, the University of Massachusetts, facing third-seeded Dartmouth in the following contest.

"We're really excited about it," Captain Kelly McBride said. "We won our last five games and that's what put us there."

A committee of four coaches selects the teams through an application procedure based on records, strength of schedule, and late-season performance.

The winners of Friday's contests will match up for the championship Saturday afternooon.
