All Ivy
Harvard players Lane MacDonald, Mark Benning and Randy Taylor were named first-team All-Ivy in hockey yesterday.
Allen Bourbeau, Don Sweeney, Tim Barakett and Dickie McEvoy were named to the second-team squad.
Player of the Year honors went to Joe Nieuwendyk, a Cornell forward and now a member of the Calgary Flames of the NHL.
Golf Second
The Harvard golf team placed second yesterday in a field of seven teams at the Greater Boston Championships. The Crimson (398) fell to Tufts (396) by only two strokes, and Harvard golfer Patrick Kenary finished tied with the day's low score--75.
Kennery lost the individual title to an M.I.T. golfer on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff.
Each team brought seven golfers to the tournament. The five best scores counted toward the team's total.
In addition to Kenary, Terry Murray (79), Doug Albrecht (79), Tom Aucamp (82) and John Beizer (83) placed for the Crimson.
