Allen Bourbeau took it upon himself to make sure the Harvard men's hockey team did not leave Boston Garden Saturday without a trophy. A gold one.

Lane MacDonald may have earned the ECAC Tournament MVP award, but Bourbeau provided some magical moments in the Crimson's 6-3 victory over St. Lawrence in the ECAC Championship game.

It took the Crimson's first-line center, who had never won a tournament at Harvard or in high school, only 10 minutes to transform a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead. First, Bourbeau banged in a power-play goal at 1:59 to tie the score. Then he notched another four minutes later to push the Crimson in front.

Bourbeau capped off his one-man show in the middle of the second period when he eluded two St. Lawrence defensemen and fed a pretty pass to C.J. Young for the Crimson's fourth goal of the game.

His three points were one shy of his season high, established at Dartmouth last November. With two assists in the semifinal game against RPI, Bourbeau finished the weekend with five total points, giving him 11 overall in the ECAC Tournament, second only to MacDonald on the Crimson.

In his three-year career, the former Acton-Boxboro star has put 45 shots in the net and dished off 50 assists.

For his contribution to the success of the Harvard hockey team in the ECAC playoffs, Allen Bourbeau earns this week's Spotlight.
