Harvard athletes were wellrepresented on the All-Ivy and All-New England squads voted upon by Ivy League coaches and announced yesterday.

Both the football and soccer teams dominated the voting and Crimson goaltender Tracee Whitley captured Ivy Player of the Year honors in women's soccer.

Harvard, which won Ivy League titles in football, men's water polo and men's soccer, placed 11 players--from six different sports--on first team All-Ivy contingents.

Whitley, in her fourth season as the Crimson's starting netminder, led the women booters to an 8-2-3 record. In 13 games, she frustrated opponents with 84 saves, a .923 save percentage, a 0.5 goals against average, and an astounding nine shutouts.

In capturing their first outright Ivy title in over a decade, the Crimson gridders placed three players on the All-Ivy first team. Four others made the second team squad and four more received honorable mention.

First-team choice Don Peterson, the 1988 captian-elect, ranked third on the Crimson in tackles with 50 and was a major force in the Harvard defense which limited opponents to 87 yards per game rushing. He also registered four sacks.

Joining Peterson on the first team are Tony Hinz, the first Crimson player in Ancient Eight history to lead the league in both rushing and scoring in the same year, and Maurice Frilot. Frilot, a junior offensive tackle, helped open holes for the Harvard running game which averaged 174 yards per Ivy game.

Despite a fine junior campaign--one in which he established new school records week in and week out--Harvard signalcaller Tom Yohe was beaten out by Yale QB Kelly Ryan for Ivy League Player of the Year honors.

Ryan, who also set numerous school records this fall, completed 170 of 282 passes for 2110 yards and 15 touchdowns in his final season at Yale.

Football: Second Team--Tom Yohe, quarterback; Tom McConnell, middle guard: Captain Kevin Dulsky, defensive end; Frank Caprio, cornerback. Honorable Mention--Brian Barringer, split end; Kent Lucas, tight end; John Bartholomew, offensive tackle; Tony Consigli, center.

Men's Soccer: First Team--Nick Hotchkin, midfielder; Stephen Hall, goalie. Second Team--Derek Mills, forward; Ramy Rajballie, midfielder; Robert Bonnic, back. Honorable Mention--David Kramer, forward; Nick D'Onofrio, forward; Paul Baverstock, midfielder.

Women's Volleyball: Second Team--Maia Forman, setter.

Men's Water Polo: (All-New England) First Team--Bill Wolff, Fred Scherrer. Second Team--Kyle Enright, John Marshall, Don Benson. Honorable Mention--Peter Kaiser, Eric Bentley.

Women's Soccer: First Team--Karin Pinezich, forward; Andrea Montalbano, back. Second Team--Tracy Hackeling, back; Lori Barry, back; Honorable Mention--Julie Sasner, midfielder; Cari Lyn Beck, back.
