Six members of the Harvard Rugby Football Club made the first New England Select-Side trials cut it was announced yesterday.

Co-Captain Scott Roberts, Vaughn Buffalo, Nathan Koenig, John Greenberg, Scott Tierney, and Deon Strickland all made the first cut based on their performance at the trials Sunday at Soldiers field.

The squad now has 50 candidates and will eventually be whittled down to 28 members who will tour New Zealand and Australia next summer as the New England College Side.

In addition, Buffalo and Greenberg are also in the running for the under-23 college side and Harvard rugby Coach Martyn Kingston is an assistant coach on the under-23 side.

Last year, there Harvard rugby members made the New England Select-Side.
