KANSAS CITY, Mo.--Charlie Leibrandt tossed a five-hitter and got home-run support from George Brett and Darryl Motley, leading the Kansas City Royals over the Boston Red Sox 6-0 Friday night.

Brett drove in a run off loser Dennis Boyd, 1-2, with a sacrifice fly in the first and hit a two-run, two-out homer in the third.
