An exhausted Radcliffe rugby team rested five injured players yesterday, playing the MIT Engineers to an 8-8 cross-town tie.
The Black and White was coming off a sudden death overtime loss to Dartmouth in the finals of the Ivy League Tournament last weekend.
Co-Captain Gillian Caldwell and Eliza Schwarz each scored a try--with Schwarz's coming with less than ten minutes remaining to tie the score--as the Black and White improved to 4-1-1 on the season.
Celtics 123, Bulls 104
Dennis Johnson, who was guarding Michael Jordan for most of his team-record 49 points, scored 16 of his 26 in the third quarter as the Boston Celtics defeated the Chicago Bulls 123-104 in the opening game of their NBA playoff series Thursday night.
Red Sox 6, Royals 2
Don Baylor's grand slam with two out in the eighth inning Thursday broke a 2-2 tie and gave the Boston Red Sox a 6-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
