Vice President for Government and Community Affairs John Shattuck was misquoted in Saturday's Crimson. Shattuck said that Harvard's guidelines about scholars' relationships with the Central Intelligence Agency do not appear to be adequately understood by the faculty. He speculated that the lack of understanding could be in part attributable to the complexity of the guidelines and in part attributable to insufficient publicity. However, he did not conclude definitively that the guidelines are inadequately publicized.
