An October 16 article entitled "Confusion, Champagne Fill Big Day" incorrectly stated that Georgene Herschbach was congratulated by a confused reporter for winning the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Although she did receive a phone call from a reporter looking for Dudley Herschbach, her husband, that reporter did not believe the award belonged to her.
A cutline with a photo of five Harvard Nobel laureates in the October 16 Crimson incorrectly identified one Nobel winner. He is Edward Purcell, University Professor Emeritus.
