Boston University jumped to a 1-0 lead over the visiting Harvard men's soccer team last night--but midway through the first half, technical difficulties forced the game to be halted. The lights at B.U.'s Nickerson Field shut off twice in the first 25 minutes, rendering play impossible.

The contest will be replayed, in full, at some point later this season.

The Terriers own a 10-0-2 mark and are currently ranked number one in New England. The Crimson, 3-1-2 after Saturday's scoreless tie with Cornell, hold down the region's number-two spot.

A victory over B.U. would go a long way toward ensuring Harvard of a berth in the post-season NCAA tournament, to which the top two squads in New England will be invited.

Last night's game will probably be made up after this weekend--meaning that John Catliff, the Crimson's leading scorer on the season, will have to sit out Saturday's Ivy League match-up with Dartmouth.

Catliff was ejected in the second half of the Cornell contest, and is ineligible to play in the Crimson's next full game.
