It's still the beginning of the season, but the Harvard women's tennis team is already in mid-season form.

And--as the other top 15 teams in the east found out this weekend at the Syracuse Invitational Tournament--that form is pretty devastating.

Freshman standout Cindy Buxbaum garnered second place in first singles, while Harvard's second singles player, Erika Smith, finished fourth.

Yardling Kristin Bland grabbed the third singles title by defeating Maryland's Kerri Stern in the finals, while Kathy Vigna took fifth at fourth singles.

The duo of Robin Boss and Martha Berkman produced another first-place finish for the Crimson by triumphing over Virginia's first doubles team; Cyndy Austrian and Jacki Farrell rounded out the competition with a fifth-place showing in second doubles.
