Expos Claim Home Opener
MONTREAL--Pinchhitter Jim Wohlford belted a three-run homer as the Montreal Expos defeated Chicago, 5-3, in their home opener yesterday and ended the Cubs five-game winning streak.
The Montreal victory snapped a streak of 16 straight regular season triumphs by Cubs righthander Rick Sutcliffe, dating back to June 29.
