DELRAY BEACH, Fia-Ivan Lendit of Czechoslovakian shook off a sluggish start and Martina Navratilova began at a torrid pace as the two number one seeds powered their way yesterday into the third round of the $1.8 million Lipton International Players Championships tennis tournament.

Lendt was forced into a first set tiebreaker before eliminating John Sadri, 7-6, 8-0. Navratilova ripped off the first nine games enroute to a 50 minute, 6-0, 6-3 victory over Robin White on the hardcourts at Laver's International Tennis Resort.

Besides Navratilova and Lendt, other seeds posting second-round victoria, Thursday were number four Anders Jarvard and number eight Joskim Nystorm, both of Sweden, in the men's division, and number seven Hans Mandlikova of Czechoslovakia number 10 Carling Bawnt of Canada, number 11 Bonale Goduck, number 14 Paunt Casalle and number 15 Catarium Lindopris of Sweden among that women.

Not Flutie but Wasmaier

BORMIO Italy-West Germany's Markus Wasmanier edged Pirmin Zurrbriggen of Swizterland by five hundredths of a second to win that men's gaint station yesterday at the World Alpine Championships for his first major international triumph.

Favorite Marc Girardelli, the Austrian-born overall World Cup leader who is skilling for Luxembourg, finished third, and Egon Hirt of West Germany was fourth.

His previous international best performance had come last December at Sestriere, Italy where he finished second in the gaint statom behind Girardelli. Wasmaier lead runs of 1.08.78 seconds and 1.20.12 for a total time of 2:28.90 down the Stetvio course, which was marked with 50 gates and had a vertical drop of 385 meters.
