Princeton, 31-0

Princeton extended Columbia's winless streak to 18 games Saturday at Princeton, N.J., aided by a record-setting performance by Tiger quarterback Doug Butler and an unyeilding defense.

Butler threw his 36th career scoring strike--a three-yd. toss to tight end Mike Behrman late in the second quarter--to break a 34-year-old school record. Overall, Butler gained 180 yards through the air.

Meanwhile, the Princeton defense was at its stingy best, not allowing Columbia a first down until the fourth quarter. The Lions (0-4 this year) gained only 151 total yards on the day.

The Tigers (2-2) had scored just 23 points in their first three games this year, but were able to bust loose against a Columbia squad which is 0-17-1 in its last 18 games.
