Aquawomen Win

The Harvard women's swimming team started off the new year with a bang, creaming Ivy rival Dartmouth, 89-51, Saturday afternoon at Blodgett Pool.

The Crimson jumped ahead early and never looked back, winning almost every event handily.

"We dominated the meet right from the start," said Co-Captain Anita Rival.

Dartmouth was unable to mount a serious challenge, even during the second half of the meet when Harvard, in the words of Rival, "swam a lot of exhibition."

While the Crimson rested some regulars, the reserve swimmers held off the Big Green to preserve the huge margin of victory.

The squad had just returned from a training jaunt to St. Petersburg, Fla. prior to the meet. Rival cited the positive effects the top had on the team saying, "It left us refreshed and ready."
