TUESDAY'S RESULT
In Tuesday, the Crimson golf team finished first at the Greater Boston Championships at Concord. Its team total of 805 strokes edged out second place Boston College's 809. In third place individually. Chet Nasiala (75-79--154) was Harvard's top finisher, followed in fourth place by Emmet O'Donnell (82-77--159).
Red Sox Lose Another
Light-hitting Ned Yost keyed a three-run rally, and the Texas Ringers went on t a 4-3 victory-over Boston last night at Fenway, handling the Red Sox their sixth loss in a row.
Right-hander Danny Darwin settled down after a shaky start and earned the victory in his first decision of the year. Darwin allowed nine hits, just two after the second inning, and struck out one batter in eight innings of work. Tobik pitched the ninth for his first save.
Billy Sample got Texas going with his first homer in the third inning. The drive on a 3-2 pitch, bit high on the foul pole 315 feet down the left field line.
