OAKLAND--Doug DeCinces stretched his hitting streak to eight games and Gary Pettis had a double and scored two runs as the California Angels edged the Oakland A's, 3-2, last night.

California left-hander Geoff Zahn scattered eight hits in 635 innings, struck out four and walked none in picking up the victory.

Dave Kingman's homer after Bruce Bochte's single in the seventh inning was the only extra-hose hit off the Zahn.
