Past speakers at the annual awards dinner have included Curt Gowdy, Al McGuire, Bryant Gumbel, Don Criqui and Peter Carlessimo of the National Invitational Tournament selection committee.
The dinner is open to the public, and tickets can be purchased through the Harvard basketball office for $20 apiece. There will be a cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. The Harvard Club of Boston is located at 374 Commonwealth Ave. in Boston.
Academic All-American Hockey
Harvard men's hockey Captain Ken Code headlined the National Division I Academic All-American Ice Hockey Team announced yesterday. The senior defenseman who rose from obscurity to become the Crimson's captain is an Economics concentrator and a native of Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada.
This season, Code led the Crimson to a 10-14-3 record and a berth in the ECAC quarterfinals, where Clarkson ended hopes of a Harvard return to the NCAA championships. Last year, the Crimson finished second in the nation.
