Kush-y Job
INDIAN POLIS Frank Kush ended two weeks of speculation yesterday by announcing he had resigned as coach of the NH's Indianapolis Colts to accept a five year contract to coach the Arizona Outlaws of the United States Football I eague.
Kush said he decided Wednesday might to accept the USH job. He said his decision to resign before the end of the National Football League season was "in the best interests of the ball club and family."
Colts General Manager Jim Irsay said offensive line coach Hal Hunter, a Kush assistant for four years, will be the Colts' interim head coach as the team prepares for its NH season finale Sunday against the New England Patriots.
Terms of Kush's contract with the Outlaws were not revealed, but the Indianapolis News reported that sources with the Colts indicated Kush will receive $1 million in the five-year pact.
