DENVER--The New England Patriots squandered a 19-12 fourth quarter lead to the Denver Broncos, who scored two touchdowns in the final minutes, and lost yesterday 26-19 at Mile High Stadium.

Hard running by the Patriots, particularly Craig James who finished with 120 yards, kept New England in control until Denver's explosion in the closing minutes.
