Yale scored on a 14-yard pass from Mike Curtin to Kevin Moriarty with nine seconds left to rally to beat Princeton, 27-24, at the Yale Bowl Saturday.
The Elis drove 98 yards in 82 seconds after Princeton failed to score on fourth and goal from the two-yard line. Yale Coach Carm Cozza called the drive, "the most spectacular comeback in the 20 years I've been here."
The hosts upped their mark to 4-2 (5-3 overall) and moved into third place in the Ivy League and to 5-3 overall. The Tigers fell to 2-4, 3-5 overall.
After Princeton cut an 11-point third-period deficit to 20-17, the Tigers' Dan Pelligrino scored on a 17-yard scamper to give the visitors a 24-20 advantage.
