Bruins 7, Islanders 6 (overtime)
PROVIDENCE--Rookie defenseman Frank Simonetti scored a goal at 3:16 of overtime last night to send the Boston Bruins to a 7-6 victory over the New York Islanders in a National Hockey League exhibition game.
The Islanders' Pomas Jonsson sent the game into overtime when he beat Boston goalie Cleon Deskalakis for a goal with only three seconds remaining in regulation time.
