Stolen Exams

Two students have been expelled from the University of Texas, and three have been suspended for one year for their involvement in the stealing, selling and buying of un-administered tests, a university administrator said May 5.

David McClintock, associate dean of students, said disciplinary charges have been filed against a total of 23 students in the case that began when two students were arrested in the burglary of a U.T. building last December.

Midnight Arrest

Gregory Wallace and Harry Foulke were arrested shortly after midnight last December 16, during what police called an attempt to steal final examinations from the office of Robert Witt, chairman of the Department of Marketing Administration. Two campus police officers who were watching the office said duplicated keys were used to unlock the office door and a cabinet in which exams were kept.

Administrators speculated that the students were planning to sell the exams.
