Four Harvard students are literally "getting away from it all" this weekend after winning free trips to the Caribbean in the Lowell and Eliot House raffles earlier this week.
Robert M. Ulin '84 and Philip H. Lovett '83, each accompanied by a friend, left early yesterday morning for three-day all-expense-payed vacations in the Bahamas and Puerto Rico, respectively.
Ulin, who invited fellow Lowellian Moye F. Thompson '85 to accompany him, will also receive $100 in spending money.
Lovett, reached last night at his hotel in San Juan, said he was having a "great time" in 86-degree Puerto Rican weather, and planned to go scuba diving today.
Ulin and Thompson, also reached last night, said that they were enjoying themselves in spite of cloudy and rainy weather. The two plan to spend today riding mopeds, writing postcards, and swimming.
