Recently released University Police statistics show that between July 1 and February 12, there have been no homicides, no rapes, one sexual assault, 17 assaults, seven robberies, 304 thefts of more than $100, 34 breaking and entering and 88 bike thefts reported on Harvard property.
In addition, police estimated the value of property stolen from February 24 to March 2 at $4595, including a 1975 Ford Granada that was stolen from a Harvard parking lot.
The following reports of crimes were taken from notes in the University Police log last week:
February 24, at54 p.m.--A female undergraduate was walking east on Mt. Auburn St. toward Dunster House, when a 40-year-old man wearing dark clothing and carrying a knapsack blocked her path. When she attempted to walk around him, he kicked her from behind and then fled toward Kennedy St.
No arrests have been made in the case.
February 25, 12:44 a.m.--A male undergraduate returned to his forth floor room in Gilbert Hall and found his belongings had been disturbed, and a $150 watch as well as $5 in cash had been stolen. A 13-year-old youth wearing a blue coal with a red "V" on it was seen leaving the room earlier that evening.
No suspicious persons were seen and no arrests have been made in the case.
