The Harvard women's tennis team had a rough time of it in the final day of play in the Princeton Invitational Tennis Tournament. The tourney in New Jersey included all the Ivy squads, as well as Clerason, William & Mary, Georgia and Syracuse.
Maria Pe, who had knocked off Yale's top-ranked player earlier in the tournament, fell to Clemson's Jane Forman. In other singles matches, Elizabeth Evans dropped a three-set decision to Georgia's Lisa Spain.
In doubles play, Evans and Erica Smith lost, as did the pair of Debbie Kaufman and Pe, the latter at the hands of the Tigers' top doubles learn.
THE NOTEBOOK: The contest was the hoopsters' last home game until March 4, when Brown visits Briggs...Their next game is a visit to Northeastern tomorrow night, followed by a trip to West Point Friday afternoon.
