The student-faculty Committee on College Life is scheduled to meet today to discuss the status of the Pi Eta Speakers' Club.
The club has been closed since October 21, when Epps asked the president of its alumni board to close it down, and he agreed.
The request was prompted by the October 18 initiation, which sent 10 new members of the all-male social club to University Health Services for treatment of excessive alcohol consumption and related injuries.
The committee is not expected to make any official recommendation today, but a special task force consisting of four committee members and Epps will outline possible actions.
The options to be considered include reopening the club, placing it on probation, closing it indefinitely, or effecting a permanent shutdown, Epps said yesterday.
But before making a decision, the committee will hear from Joseph Ippolito '84, president of the club, and Robert B. Cleary '58, the president of the club's alumni board, Epps said.
Epps referred the matter to the committee last week start reporting it to the Administrative Board, the College's diselpllavy body.
