"Harvard is belatedly, but fortunately, catching up with MIT in these areas, and this study is the best of the new work coming out of Harvard," he added.
But Ronald G. Slaby, an associate professor at the Ed School and Gagnon's advisor, said the exploratory nature of the study made it hard to make firm conclusion. "Video game play is correlated with a number of attributes of the individual, sex, age, and experience level, and it remains for us to decide which variables are more important than others," he explained.
