Harts was tentitively identified from personal belongings, and his mother confirmed the reports yesterday
A native of Brooklyn, Harts is employed on a part-time basis by The Boston Globe as a writer for the Living section One Globe editor called Harts a "very, very competent worker who was always improving and had considerable respect among Boston theatrical types."

In addition to writing drama reviews and features for the Globe, Harts is the author of a novel called The proteus Factor
In the past he has lectured at Northeastern University and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston
Sever Harvard police units were the first to arrive on the the scene of the suicide attempt. University officers then called the Cambridge Rescue Squad for assistance
