The Philadelphia 76ers rebounded from Sunday's humiliating 40-point loss in the third round of the NBA championship playoffs to down the Boston Celtics, 121-113, and tie the seven-game series at 1-1 last night at the Boston Garden. Andrew Toney racked up 30 points for the Sixers, and Caldwell Jones tallied a season-high 22. Nate Archibald paced the Celtic attack with 24 points.

Neither team led by more than two points from the 11:18 mark of the third quarter until the 76ers scored six consecutive points for an insurmountable 119-111 margin with 22 seconds remaining.
