The Harvard men's volleyball team won 14 consecutive games over 11 hours as the Crimson breezed through the New England Open at MIT Saturday. The spikers clearly outmatched their opponents, and Harvard dominated throughout the tournament.
Yale alone dropped four games to the Crimson; in two of the four contests, Eli starters fell to the Harvard second string. Only Dartmouth could mount an effective resistance, but the Crimson edged the Big Green in the tournament final, 15-12, 16-14.
Co-captains Tom Houlihan and Brad Martin set well on the day, but the team wasn't generally at its best. Then again, it didn't have to be.
