The latest University police statistics released for the week ending February 20, show that since July 1, there have been no homicides, one rape no sexual assaults 26 assualts 11 robberies 270 thefts of more than $100 in value 18 breaking and enterings and 129 bike thefts reported on Harvard.
Police estimated the value of property stolen from February 10 to February 25 at $4223.50, including two overcoats and 10 pieces of lingeric taken from the laundry room in Holworthy Hall.
The following reports of crime were taken from the University police log last week.
February 19, 3.30p.m.-$415 of crash and jewelry was stolen from 10 hackers in the varsity locker room at Bright Hockey Center. The theft occurred while the players wee on the ice for a two hour practice. Officers reported that the locker room don't left open and that international activities and a high school track meet were being held nearby.
February 19, 9:22 p.m.--Officers arrested Geoffrey S. Hurley of Newton for disorderly conduct and assault and battery on a police officer they apprehended him in the balcony of Memorial Hall disrupting an event. The 27-year-old man was allegedly intoxicated and pushing people and wielding a knife. Officers subdued him. but as they were escorting him downstairs, he kicked one officer in the legs and tripped the other down the start well.
February 21, 4:30 p.m.-A female undergraduate walking on shepherd St. near Mass. Ave was assaulted by a white male in his early twenties wearing a red varsity type jacket. The man said, "You are a very pretty lady," then made a "very negative, nasty comment." He reached out to grab the student's knapsack and look hold of her arm.
