THERE WAS a fright row down by the river all day yesterday, as the Head of the Charles Regatta Spanish through Cambridge for its 18th year, It was an occasion for revelry and rivalry--more than 100,000 fans watched in 720 shells and sculls were propelled with varying degree of efficiency up and down the Churies (See stories pages one and six.)
