Revolution Books

A Cambridge court last week affirmed the eviction of Revolution Books, a store specializing in Marxist and Maoist literature, from its 233 Mass. Ave. home.

Judge John J. Nixon decided in favor of the landlords, Limestone Realty Trust, who have sought to evict the bookstore since November.

Revolution Books has retained counsel and can appeal the decision, but Bruce Pritchard, a staff worker at the store, said last week the staff of the book store has not decided whether to appeal.

The store's staff has collected more than 600 signatures in a petition protesting the planned eviction, Pritchard said, adding that he considers the eviction "a political attack."
