Lamont Sculpture

The Henry Moore sculpture, which disappeared from the Yard for repairs on November 4, returned to its resting place across from Lamont Library yesterday morning. The sculpture, "Four Piece Reclining Woman" underwent repairs at a Rhode Island foundry at an as-yet-undetermined cost.

Captain Jack Mose of the University police said yesterday, "There were no problems. We opened the gate, and now it's sitting there in all its glory."

Moore's sculpture, valued at $500,000 and donated by David Bakalar '46, was first installed September 12.

The statue was returned piece by piece to its stand at 4 a.m., and the metal part near the base had been accurately repaired, Haydie Donahue, administrator of conservation at the Fogg Museum, said yesterday.
