YESTERDAY's RESULTS
Women's field hockey 4, University of Rhode Island 1
That's it, sports fans. You can thank the weather. The women's soccer team was scheduled to play UMass yesterday, but the field in Amherst was so wet that UMass officials decided it would be dangerous to play. The game will be played November 10, unless the teams meet in the upcoming EAW tournament.
The water polo game scheduled against Boston University last night was also rained out. In the picture at right, players frolic about in puddles left by the downpour. Actually, of course, the game wasn't rained out--apparently B.U. just decided not to show up.
And in baseball...It looks as though you'll have to wait until tonight to laugh at your roommate from Scarsdale. Rest assured though that, barring bad weather, the Yankees will fall tonight.
