The following reports were taken from notes in the Harvard Police log from October 16 to October 23. Police Blotter is a regular feature of The Crimson.

October 21, 1:36 a.m.--An Adams House resident walking on Church St. toward Mass. Ave. was harassed by a group of six white males in a car. One of the group hit the student on the side of the head, causing his right ear to bleed.

The student told officers the automobile's license tag number, and police traced the car's registered owner. The student later informed police he had given them the wrong number.

October 22, 10:30 a.m.--Responding to a fire alarm, the security guard at Baker Library found that a piece of wood resting on a transformer in the basement had started a small fire. The guard extinguished the fire, and Cambridge Fire Department officials cut off the power to the transformer.

October 22, 9:47 p.m.--Two uniformed officers approached a group of people who were drinking at Forbes Plaza in Holyoke Center and asked them to leave. One of the group, Joseph Brooks of Cambridge, refused and allegedly threw a beer bottle at one of the officers. Brooks and both officers began fighting, and Robert Marshall, a bystander, joined the officers in subduing Brooks. In the struggle, Marshall was allegedly kicked in the head by Brooks, and was taken to Cambridge City Hospital for treatment. A story in The Crimson yesterday erroneously identified Marshall as a University police detective.

Brooks was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, assault and battery, trespassing, and disorderly conduct.

October 23, 2:02 a.m.--John Vetter of Somerville was arrested in the Quincy House courtyard for trespassing and larceny.

Vetter was allegedly loitering in the Quincy game room and witnesses allegedly saw him take a jacket from the building. Police apprehended Vetter outside, and the owner of the jacket identified it.
