To the Editors of The Crimson:
I was disappointed to see that The Crimson was willing to print David Frankel's Trends column, "Father, Forgive Them," in the April 3rd issue of What Is To Be Done. Even if the piece was meant to be political satire, its lampooning of Jesus Christ is obviously offensive to Christians.
Several weeks ago, The Crimson printed a story about a meeting between its editors and leaders of Black student organizations, who claimed that the paper had been unfair to Blacks in its reporting and commentary. In an accompanying editorial, you apologized and promised to be more sensitive to them. Since sensitivity is now the policy of The Crimson, I think you are inconsistent in printing pieces like "Father, Forgive Them" which are gratuitously offensive to other groups on campus. Charles A.
